Crimes Nearby: Man Breaks Into Jake Starr Cafe

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County and New York State Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The Suffolk County and New York State Police Department reported the following arrests:

Northport

An officer on patrol saw a 2001 BMW bearing Virginia registration on the "clammer's dock" facing into the parking lot around 2 a.m. on April 29. The officer interviewed the subject who stated that he was just enjoying the view of the water. When the officer advised him that he wasn't facing the water, he was facing the parking lot, the subject became belligerent stating he was a fisherman, his parents lived in Eatons Neck, and he worked for the Department of Defense "building weapons." The officer advised the subject that the dock was for working fishermen and he then left the location.

Northport Rescue transported a man to Huntington Hospital after he collapsed inside a Fort Salonga Road restaurant on April 27 around 2 p.m. When police arrived on scene, the man was laying on the floor of the establishment, unresponsive but breathing. The officer administered basic first aid until the arrival of Northport Rescue.

Kings Park

Donald Rieger, 47, of Kings Park, was charged on April 25, with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said Rieger was in Brentwood when he was found to be in possession of drugs.

Brian Tyrell ,37, of Kings Park, was charged on April 25, with driving a vehicle while impaired. Police said Tyrell was on Motor Parkway when he struck a 2011 Honda.

Chris Harbourn, 43, of Kings Park was charged on April 21, with smoking marijuana in public view. Police said the incident occurred in Islandia.

Smithtown

Frank DiLuciano, 51, of St. James, was arrested in St. James on April 23 at 9:40 p.m. on first offense DWI, first offense leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and operator leaving the scene of an accident with property damage charges. Reports state DiLuciano was in a 2009 Infiniti that was involved in two separate accidents on the same day. Police said DiLuciano was driving southbound on Lake Avenue north of Route 25 when he collided with a 2012 Volkswagen, causing injury to a passenger in the vehicle he struck, and then left the scene of the accident without exchanging information. Police said DiLuciano then struck another vehicle on Route 25 east of Astor Avenue, also leaving the scene. DiLuciano was arrested on Oak Street, according to police.

Domingos Salgado, 26, of Selden, was arrested in Smithtown on April 28 at 2:38 a.m. on first offense DWI charges. Reports state Salgado was found sleeping in a 2011 Volkswagen while the car was running.

Ashley Brown-Narkah, 20, of Smithtown, was arrested in Smithtown on April 24 at 10:20 p.m. on fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance charges. Reports state Brown-Narkah was in possession of a stun gun, marijuana and Methadone.

Three Village

 Suffolk County police are seeking an unknown person who broke into Jake Starr Café in Stony Brook and stole an empty cash register and an envelope containing cash.
According to a police report, a white male kicked in the door of the restaurant sometime between 11 p.m. on April 20 and 3 a.m. on April 21. Police said the burglar made away with $1,500 in cash. 

Kevin Clasen, 32, of Selden, was arrested April 26 in South Setauket and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. According to police, Clasen illegally possessed prescription medications in a vehicle at the corner of Chester Street and Bellewood Ave. in Setauket.
