Kings Park
David Beal, 49, of Huntington was charged in Kings Park with grand larceny on Nov. 13. Police said Beal was falsely acting as a vehicle collector and towed numerous vehicles to a scrap yard and sold them. According to police, Beal completed department of motor vehicle paperwork stating he was the owner of a 1994 Camry, which had been reported stolen by the owner. Beal towed and attempted to junk the vehicle at Gershow Recycling, according to police.
Smithtown
Tony Romero, 25, of Smithtown, was arrested on Nov. 23 at 4 a.m. in Smithtown on assault with intent to cause physical injury charges, a misdemeanor. Reports state Romero was arrested on Manor Road after striking a person across the forehead with a glass bottle. The victim was brought to the hospital and received five staples to close the laceration, according to police.
Kerri Salinas, 31, of East Patchogue, was arrested on Nov. 20 on fourth degree grand larceny charges, a felony. Reports state Salinas stole a Shell gas station credit card from her job and used it to make purchases for a period of six months.
Three Village
A woman whom cops were transporting to Stony Brook University Hospital was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, after she broke the rear passenger side window of the police car. The incident took place on northbound Nicolls Road at approximately 11 p.m. on Nov. 23. Police did not identify the woman arrested.
Miller Place-Rocky Point
A Mastic man was arrested Nov. 17 on multiple charges after stealing items from the Rocky Point Kohl’s on two separate occasions.
William Gonnelly was charged with two counts of third degree burglary- illegal entry with intent, a felony, and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor. According to police, Gonnelly was told not to return to Kohls after he was caught stealing two camcorders and a tablet. Gonnelly returned to the Kohl's Nov. 17 and allegedly stole two vacuums and two DVD players before being arrested.
Police said Gonnelly resisted while being arrested on the two burglary charge.
Port Jefferson
Julie Lincoln, 34, of Coram, was arrested in Port Jefferson Station on Nov. 24 and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Lincoln was at Americas Best Value Inn on Route 112 allegedly in possession of heroin. According to court records, Lincoln was in court on Nov. 24 and released on her own recognizance. She is due back in court on Dec. 18.
