Crimes Report: Drivers Charged with DWI on Jericho Turnpike
The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
The Suffolk County Police Department reported these arrests and incidents:
Nicole Diana Fortune, 33 of Hauppauge, was arrested Oct. 16 and on charges of driving while intoxicated. Fortune was driving a 2010 Cadillac SRX westbound in the far right lane of the Long Island Expressway while missing a front tire and damage to the front end of the car, according to the Sheriff's office. A deputy sheriff pulled her over by Exit 53, where she performed poorly on a standard field sobriety test. Fortune told officers she was in an accident on Veterans Highway/Route 454 that caused her to crash into the center median, according to reports.
Stephen Pomaro, 51, of East Northport, was arrested Oct. 8 and charged with driving while intoxicated - first offense, a misdemeanor. Pomaro was driving a 1996 Ford Cobra sedan eastbound on Route 25/Jericho Turnpike in Commack. Police said they found Pomaro driving eastbound while in the westbound lane.

Roberto Chico, 50, of Kings Park, was arrested Oct. 6 and charged with driving while intoxicated - first offense, a misdemeanor. Police said Chico was driving a 2002 white Jaguar eastbound on Route 25/Jericho Turnpike, near the intersection with Route 454/Veterans Memorial Highway. He was allegedly speeding in a 40 mph zone at approximately 11:16 p.m. Police determined that Chico was intoxicated upon pulling him over.
