According to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers, the two men ate a meal at Applebee’s , located at 105 Veterans Memorial Highway, and then told their server they were going outside to smoke a cigarette on Jan. 17, at approximately 8:20 p.m. The two men never returned to pay their bill, police said.

The men were described as possibly Hispanic, in their 20s and approximately 6-feet-tall. Police said that they fled in a light-colored Honda Civic with a darker-colored panel on the driver’s side front quarter panel.
