Police are searching for two men who are suspected of dining at the Commack Applebee's, and then ditching the $50 bill.
According to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers, the two men ate a meal at Applebee’s , located at 105 Veterans Memorial Highway, and then told their server they were going outside to smoke a cigarette on Jan. 17, at approximately 8:20 p.m. The two men never returned to pay their bill, police said.
The men were described as possibly Hispanic, in their 20s and approximately 6-feet-tall. Police said that they fled in a light-colored Honda Civic with a darker-colored panel on the driver’s side front quarter panel.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000.00 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
