Driver Injured Near Commack High School
A woman was injured after crashing into a tree.
A driver was injured Sunday evening after striking a tree near Commack High School.
According to fire personnel, the driver of a Nisan Murano sports utility vehicle hit the tree around 6:20 p.m. She suffered non-life threatening injuries and was sent to Huntington Hospital by the Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
Commack firefighters secured the vehicle, which had been heavily damaged in the crash, and applied an absorbent to the road for a fluid spill.
