Help Police Find Man Who Stole From E. Northport Supermarket

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Second Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man pictured above who they say stole items from an East Northport supermarket.

The man entered the Stop & Shop supermarket, located at 3126 Jericho Turnpike, and stole seven bags of frozen shrimp on Dec. 2 at approximately 8:20 a.m., police said. 

The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 25 to 30 years old and was wearing a yellow shirt, black pants and Timberland boots. He was driving a red Toyota Corolla with out of state license plates.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.

Yeah...tell me about it. My neighbors house was ransacked last week. He is in Fla. for the winter and the perp kicked the back door in and robbed him blind. Didn't hear anything about that from the SCPD. And when you do call the desk at the 4th you get some knucklehead with a serious attitude that doesn't want to give you the time of day. Why is this being reported 2 months after the fact. Maybe a good question for the Patch to ask the cops! get on it

I see why Patch got rid of people in order help streamline the news. Im surprised this wasnt the headline on cbs the other night.
