In November 2009, Asghari disappeared after being last seen at his home on Fairfield Way, which is a few blocks away from the wooded area of Indian Head Road where a man’s body was found on March 20, 2012. At the time of Asghari's disappearance, he had left his home without his anti-rejection medications, which are crucial for organ transplant patients. Asghari was reportedly 25 years old when he disappeared.

The police department’s missing persons division would not say whether Asghari’s case is still open.
