Hockey Mom Accused of Unlawful Sex With Boy Players

Kathia Maria Davis, 44, was arrested after alleged trysts with two Beach City Lightning players. She is now out on bail.

A middle-aged hockey mom accused of having sex with two of her son's former teammates was out on bail Monday after being arrested at her Laguna Niguel home last week, authorities said.

Kathia Maria Davis, 44, could face charges of unlawful sex with a minor and lewd acts with a child, according to Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jim Amormino.

She was arrested Wednesday after allegedly carrying on sexual relationships with the boys over a period of three to five years, officials said.

The first victim, who is still a juvenile, spilled details to his mother last week. She called authorities and an investigation began.

"These are incidents that are always embarrassing for the families and disgusting acts," Amormino said.

According to the mother, Davis hosted parties at her home and served alcohol to underage team members, Amormino said.

A second boy also recounted alleged sexual encounters with the dishwater-blonde divorcee, Amormino said. The second boy said he couldn't recall when the alleged trysts began, but he might have been 14, authorities said.

Both boys played for a youth hockey team called Beach City Lightning, Amormino said. Club president Stacey Chilcoff said the two players hadn't been involved with the team for at least four years.

Davis was released from custody after posting $25,000 bail, Amormino said. She has not yet been formally charged by the district attorney's office.

Ralo, nice point....I'd like a COMPLETE FBI background check on ANYONE who comes into contact w/my children before they have any interaction w/them (teachers, coaches, bus drivers ect....). How feasible is that? Oh, wait.....she wasn't on the registered sex offenders watch YET!!!!!!!!! AS MANY AREN'T!!!!!! Seriously, u do have a valid point and it is a parents job to care for their children. We can't smother them @ the same time. YET, W/any form of 'abuse' there are 'signs' and considering this allegedly stemmed over a year+ you'd think these parents would have been tipped off a lot sooner. Let's hope others will take heed.

I am deeply heartened at the civility of the discourse on this subject. There isn't the usual ad hominem attacks. This is a complex and serious issue. I am not certain boys view their sexual experiences the same way girls do. (Actually, I am almost certain they do not.) But the consequences can certainly be different. The adult, if in fact this is true and rarely do little boys tell lies about this kind of thing, (sex with young girls yes, older woman ,no) is ceratinly in charge of the situation. The court must ultimately determine responsibility. But thank you all for being mostly thoughtful and congenial debaters on a very dark and difficult subject.

The fact here is... that this is a grown ADULT woman, who is a sexual predator, that took advantantage of a couple young boys. (with alcohol involved!) My heart goes out to the families involved, and yes, the children will have long term emotional affects of this act. I only hope justice is served, and she pays for this horrible crime.

Victimless crime? What are you hiding about you? Will you be the next one we read about who violates a minor?

No Brendan, you are wrong, I wouldn't because I am not some stupid fool that thinks teenagers do not have sexual feelings. After going through puberty it is normal to want to have sex despite a bunch of silly laws that pretend teenagers are not sexually mature.
