Police: Two Men Arrested in Armed Robbery Spree

Two men have been arrested and charged with robbing three Suffolk County businesses and attempting to rob three others over the past week, police said. 

Police said an off-duty Nassau County cop helped catch Thomas Leahey, of Ronkonkoma, and Joseph Salvia, of Commack, after employees at Stony Brook's Cool Monkey Desserts told the cop that the business had just been robbed by two men Sunday night.

Police: Holtsville Woman Seriously Hurt in Hit-and-Run Crash

A 22-year-old Holtsville woman was seriously injured after being hit by a truck in Middle Island early Thursday, police said.

Lisa Andronica was walking southbound on Wilson Avenue when she was struck by a box truck traveling southbound on Wilson Avenue at 3:10 a.m., police said.

Cops: 4 Busted for 'Instigating' Fight Between 2 Developmentally Disabled Men

Four Long Island Group Home workers  are facing felony charges after instigating a fight between two developmentally disabled men, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, the incident was reported to the New York State Justice Center for the protection of people with special needs hot line.

Police: Three Arrested After Stealing $53K Worth of Cemetery Vases

Three people were arrested Thursday after police said they stole $53,000 worth of bronze vases from Pinelawn Cemetery in Farmingdale on several occasions.

First Precinct officers responded to a 911 call of a theft in progress at Pinelawn Cemetery, located at 2030 Wellwood Avenue, around 12:15 p.m. Thursday, police said.  

Police: Swastika Spray Painted on Dix Hills Garage

A swastika was spray painted on a garage door at a home in Dix Hills earlier this week and police are asking for the public's help to find who did it. 

The swastika was found on a garage door on Ryder Avenue and police believe it was placed there sometime between 6:30 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday. 

Yeshiva Student Charged in Anti-Semitic Graffiti Incidents

A Yeshiva student from Queens was responsible for a slew of anti-Semitic graffiti that plagued the Cedarhurst train station and disappointed the Five Towns community, according to Nassau County and MTA Police.

Two Charged with Prostitution, Unlicensed Massage at Spa

Two Brentwood women face charges after allegedly offering to perform a sexual act on undercover officers in Massapequa, according to Nassau County Police.

An undercover detective and another unidentified individual were placed in separate rooms at Feeling Facial Spa Inc. where they received unlicensed massages from two female employees, cops said. The two women, Marcia Bedoya, 21, and Tiffany Merced, 22, both of Brentwood, then offered to perform a sexual act on the two for an additional fee, police reported.
