Man Arrested in Macy's Jewelry Theft

An East Northport man was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree.

Police have found the man who they believe stole jewelry from Macy’s on Veteran’s Memorial Highway in Commack.

David Barrett, 32, of East Northport, was arrested June 28, three days after he allegedly took nine pairs of gold earrings from the store, and left. He was arrested in Huntington, police said, but did not elaborate on how he was found.

Barrett was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a felony.
