Man Caught On Tape Stealing Golf Clubs in Commack

Police ask the public's help in identifying the alleged thief.

A man was captured on surveillance footage stealing more than $1,000 in golf clubs at Sports Authority in Commack last month. Police are now asking the public's help in identifying the alleged thief.

According to Fourth Squad detectives, a man entered the store at 124 Veterans Memorial Hwy. in Commack and stole golf clubs valued at more than $1,000. The suspect is described as a white male, in his 30s, wearing a Yankees baseball hat, white T-shirt and dark pants with a white stripe down the leg.   

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS.  All calls will be kept confidential. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
