Drivers are being urged to use caution this morning as icy roads and dense fog have made driving hazardous according to Suffolk County police.
A dense fog advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service and is in effect until 9 a.m. According to the advisory, visibility will be significantly reduced. Drivers should slow down, use low beam headlights and leave plenty of distance ahead of them in case a sudden stop is needed.
