Police: Northport Man High on Drugs in Commack Crash
Port Washington man suffers serious injuries in Wednesday night crash.
A Port Washington man was seriously injured in single car crash Wednesday night on the Sunken Meadow Parkway in Commack and a Northport man is charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, according to a Newsday report.
The driver Frank Murray, 35, suffered minor injuries in the crash and was arrested, Newsday reported, citing State Police.
The passenger, Jeffrey O'Rourke, 35, of Port Washington, is in the hospital with serious injuries.
Murray's Nissan Alitma veered off the shoulder of the northbound Sunken Meadow Parkway around 11:15 p.m. and struck several trees, according to Newsday.
