Police Still Searching for Purse Thieves

Middle-aged man and a woman in her twenties sought for alleged theft outside a Commack Marshall's.

Police are still looking for the thief and his accomplice who allegedly stole a woman's purse in front the Marshall's on Henry Street on May 27.

According to police, the man engaged the victim in a brief conversation inside the store, left and then returned in a small dark-colored vehicle driven by a woman in her twenties.  The man then forcibly stole the victim's purse and left the scene with the woman in the vehicle. Police said the suspects later entered a 7-11 on Larkfield Road and Clay Pitts Road, and attempted to use the victim's credit card.

The Fourth Precinct requests the public's help in positively identifying the suspects. The male subject is described as a 5' 5", with a thin build and in his thirties to early forties. The female subject is described as a heavy-set woman in her twenties; she was wearing a flower print dress at the time of the incident.
