Resident Thwarts Home Invasion; Suspect Flees

Intruder entered Harvard Lane home on Sept. 1.

A man who invaded a Commack home last week fled after being startled by a resident, police said.

According to Suffolk County police, a man entered a home on Harvard Lane through a rear basement window just before noon on Thursday, Sept. 1.

The suspect was discovered by an individual inside the house, and promptly fled through the front door of the home, police said.

Nothing was stolen from the house, and no injuries were reported.

Despite a search, no arrests have been made in connection to the home invasion, police said.
