Road Closures for Memorial Day Parades

Plan extra time on Monday for travel around town.

Monday is Memorial Day, in which Commack and other surrounding towns will be marching to honor the nation's heroes who lost their lives serving our county.

Memorial Day Parades will be held throughout the area Monday. 

Suffolk County police are advising residents to leave extra travel time and have an alternate route planned if the following parades will affect your travel route. 

Road closures can be expected on the following routes, as well as surrounding streets. 

  • Smithtown: Starts at noon beginning on Singer Lane and ending at Town Hall on Main Street. 
  • Ronkonkoma: Starts at 10 a.m. on Church Street and Hawkins Avenue and ending at Raynor Park on Ronkonkoma Avenue. 
  • Kings Park: Starts at 9 a.m. beginning at RJO School and ending at Church Street and 25A. 
  • St. James: Starts at 10 a.m. beginning at Lake Avenue and Woodlawn Avenue and ending at St. James Elementary School. 
  • Commack: Starts at 10 a.m. at Larkfield Road and Jericho Turnpike and ending at Jericho Turnpike and Veterans Memorial Highway.
