Stolen Debit Card Used at Chase Bank

Suffolk County police are looking for a individual who committed grand larcency in Commack.

Suffolk County police are searching for an individual who committed grand larcency at in Commack. 

Police said a woman who discovered her debit card was missed from her pocket called the company to report it missing on March 9. To her surprise, the bank reported someone has used the card March 8 to withdraw money from Chase Bank's ATM on Jericho Turnpike. The exact amount taken was not released. 

Stealing or illegally using a credit card or debit card is considered fourth-degree grand larcency under New York State law, according to police.

Suffolk police have reported several incidents of illegal debit or credit card use in recent months, including on Crooked Hill Road in December 2011. Patch readers also reported credit cards were stolen during a two-week spree of home robberies in January.
