was robbed by an unknown man Wednesday afternoon, Suffolk County police said.
The suspect entered the bank, located at 6190 Jericho Tpke., at approximately 12:30 p.m. and demanded cash from the teller. He also indicated to the teller that he was carrying a gun, according to police.
The teller complied, and the suspect fled on foot eastbound down Jericho Turnpike.

Police say the suspect was described as a white male in his twenties, approximately 6 feet tall, with a stocky build. At the time of the robbery, he was unshaven and wearing a black wool hat, light gray hooded sweatshirt, black track pants, black wool gloves and dark gray sneakers.
Suffolk County police major case detectives are investigating the incident. They are asking anyone with information on this incident to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
