Woman Caught on Camera Taking $300 Worth of Items from Walmart

Police are asking the public's help to identify the woman.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating the woman who stole merchandise from a Commack store last month.

A woman attempted to use a Subway rewards card to pay for merchandise at Walmart, located at 85 Crooked Hill Road on September 25 at approximately 2:20 p.m. The cashier told the woman the Subway card was not an acceptable form of payment and the woman said she would leave the cart of merchandise off to the side, however, she then exited the store with the merchandise, valued at approximately $300. The woman, who was described as black, with an average build, a dark complexion and black hair, fled the parking lot, with the merchandise, in a white SUV.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
