Local Legislators and Business Leaders Welcome Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza

Commack's newest restaurant gets a warm reception from the Town of Huntington.

Huntington legislators and business community members recently welcomed Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza to the Town of Huntington.

Town Supervisor Frank P. Petrone and Councilwoman Susan A. Berland recently joined representatives of the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce in a ribbon cutting ceremony at Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, located in the Peppertree Commons Shopping Center at the intersection of Jericho Turnpike and Town Line Road.

The restaurant is the fourth Long Island location for the South Florida-based chain that was founded by Anthony Bruno, who grew up on Long Island in Franklin Square. The chain boasts a menu of “well done” pizza baked in 800-degree coal ovens, oven-roasted chicken wings, sandwiches and specialties it calls, “Italian soul food.”

“Anthony’s is an exciting new addition to the Commack restaurant scene,” Petrone said. “Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza has Long Island roots, and I wish them as much success at this location as they have had at their 36 others.”

“Anthony’s has a unique menu and an atmosphere that should appeal to a broad range of people, including families and sports fans,” Councilwoman Berland said. “I welcome them to Commack and hope they will be here for a long time.”
