Local teens are invited to get together with friends and hang out at the Hoyt Farm Nature Preserve this Tuesday from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Middle school and high school students in the Town of Smithtown are invited to a drug and alcohol-free evening will be held at Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Activities will include volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, bocce, arts & crafts, karaoke, games, and competitions.
Summer Teen Night is sponsored by the Smithtown Youth Bureau, in partnership with the Smithtown Parks Department, Recreation Department, and Department of Public Safety,
Patsy Hirschhorn, Executive Director of the Youth Bureau, explains the importance of these events. “Summer teen nights are a great way for young people to get together and enjoy their summer vacation without having to worry about their safety.”
Volunteers are welcome, but no one will be admitted after 7 p.m. High school students can apply to receive community service credits for volunteering.
During the night, non-perishable items will be collected for Long Island Cares.
