9/11 Candlelight Tribute at High School

Saturday marks the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and Commack High School will host a memorial service on the track field.

Commack High School will host a "night of remembrance" candlelight memorial service for district residents on Saturday to commemorate the 9/11 attacks.

The event, held on the high school track at 6:30 p.m., will include a presentation with speakers from the high school and community.

A host of town council members from Huntington, members of the Board of Education, and U.S. Rep. Steve Israel and state Sen. John J. Flanagan will attend this year as well, district spokeswoman Brenda Lentsch said.
