Astronaut Talks Space Travel with Burr Students

NASA Astronaut Kevin Kregel visited on Monday to speak to the entire fifth grade class about space travel.

Kregel, an Amityville native who completed four space missions in the 90's, shared his experiences as an astronaut and showed footage of he and his fellow astronauts eating, exercising, dancing and even showering while traveling in space.

The floor was then opened up to the students, who asked Kregel everything from why astronauts don't wear shoes in space (their feet don't touch the floor due to lack of gravity) and what his favorite food was during his flights (shrimp cocktail).
