Classes at Commack's elementary schools looked like scenes out of the movie 'Benjamin Button' recently as students dressed up as if they were centenarians to celebrate the 100th day of school.
Second graders in Lori Busch’s class at Indian Hollow got into costume by wearing grey hair, mustaches, wrinkles, bifocals and using walkers and canes.
Other students came to school with "100 Day" themed clothing, and entered the buildings by walking through huge "100" signs and balloons. The children at North Ridge were counted as they entered the building through the big 100 sign.
The 100th day of school was a later than usual this year, due to class cancellations from Hurricane Sandy and a blizzard.
June 21 is the last day of school.
