Commack Marching Band Part of Televised Event

Program will air on Thanksgiving evening.

The Commack High School marching band will be part of a three-hour televised special Thanksgiving evening.

The Newsday Marching Band Festival, three-day event held at Hofstra University, was captured by MSG Varsity and will showcase highlights of performances and interviews with bandleaders and student participants.

A portion of the ticket sales goes to each of the participating high school bands, as well as the Newsday Marching Band Grant program that assists Hofstra music students in their studies.

Highlights of the Commack High School marching band performance will be featured during the final hour of the television event on Nov. 24 between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m on channel 14.
