Commack Middle School Students Sew Stockings for Charity

Stuffed stockings were donated to hospitals and shelters throughout Long Island.

Commack Middle School students sewed up holiday joy in the form of handmade stockings that will be donated to underprivileged children htroughout Long Island this holiday season.

Students from the Family and Consumer Sciences Department, Art Service Club, Art and Literary Club and Student Council of worked together to create, decorate and fill the stockings with toys.

Fifty stockings were donated to the Pay It Forward with Jackie program, which will then donate them to various hospitals and shelters throughout Long Island. Pay it Forward with Jackiie is built on the hopes and dreams of a childhood cancer patient named Jackie. The program aims to raise the amount of bone marrow donors and help the underprivileged.
