Commack School District Launches Mobile Website

Parents can now check the school district's website from their smart phones.

Commack School District is taking the next step in bringing technology to its taxpayers fingertips.

Commack schools launched a mobile version of the district's online website that should be easier to access and navigate for smart phone users.

According to the district's website, the mobile launch was designed to "simplified the navigation so you can quickly and easily browse to our most popular pages." It should be accessible to all major-brand smart phone users.

By pulling up the district's mobile website, residents are immediately directed to 5 key areas:

  • Phone Directory
  • Backpack news
  • Eboard Directory
  • Parent Portal
  • Community Events

Visiters are then given a "more options" button, which opens up the additional options of:  Calendar, Athletic Page, Lunch Menus, and Student Site.

The button pads are large and easy to click.

How often do you use Commack school district's website? Take a look at the mobile version, and tell us what you think.

I always applaud technology one wonders why they can't also apply some technology to the outdated process of having to fill out multiple emergency pick up cards and cards for if parent is not home each year even though the information is the same each year??
