Commack Schools Close on Wednesday
Much of the Commack area still without power Tuesday night; fallen trees make travel difficult.
Commack school officials made the decision to cancel classes following the damage and devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy.
Commack School District will be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 31, as reported by News12. Brenda Lentsch, spokeswoman for Commack School District, could not be reached via phone and the district's website was down as of Tuesday evening.
LIPA reports as of Tuesday afternoon. It is unclear whether these power outages directly effect Commack school buildings.
