Commack Student Wins MSG Varsity Talent Show Competition

Samantha Sclafani won best Female Vocalist in the regional comeptition.

Samantha Sclafani was awarded the title of during the show's season finale Sunday night.

Sclafani, who is currently wrapping up her sophomore year at Commack High School, beat out hundreds of show applicants and outlasted seven competitors during the eight-week competition.

Sclafani , and garnered enough audience votes to beat Kellenberg High School's Trish Torrales.

“I am very thankful for the opportunity and experience of participating in ‘MSG Varsity's Talent Show,'” Sclafani said in a statement. “Words can't describe how proud and accomplished I feel. I feel like the luckiest person in the world, and I have so many people to thank—especially everyone who voted for me."

As part of her victory, Sclafani will work with award-winning producers to record a demo CD during a two-day professional studio session. She'll also be professionally styled for a photo schoot and receive a custom CD cover design.
