Common Core Workshops Begin Monday
An overview of the standards and subject workshops are scheduled for Jan. 13 and 14.
The Commack School District has scheduled several workshops to introduce the new Common Core Standards to parents.
These new standards are already having a dramatic impact on what students learn in school and how they learn it. In New York State, there is also a major shift toward standardized test scores and the way teachers and principals are evaluated.
The first two workshops will begin next week as follows:
