District Alerts Residents of Sex Offender at Commack Motor Inn

On Sunday, the Commack school district sent an alert to parents within the district about a level 2 sex offender who has moved into the area.

Joseph Cariddi,  whose level 2 status means he is a moderate risk to repeat a sex offense, is living at the Commack Motor Inn, the district said on the sex offender registry on their website.

The Commack Union Free School District's website has a continually updated list of registered sex offenders, which includes addresses where available and the level of their offense. 

At the same time, the NYS criminal justice website as of Tuesday lists that there six offenders living in the Commack area, some of whom have several aliases.

Those are:

• Jason Amarillo/Jay Annunziato/Jason Annuziato, level 3, living in the Commack Motor Inn
• Jason Berman/Jason Alan Berman, level 2 living at 40 Sandy Hill Road
• Joseph Cariddi/Joseph Caridd/Joseph T Carridi/Joseph C Carridi, level 2, living at the Commack Motor Inn
• Fred Grove, level 2, living at 12 Parkview Drive
• Jonathan Knight, level 3, living at 30 Bethany Drive
• Richard Russillo/Richard W. Russillo, level 3, living at 15 Janice Court

A call to , one of Long Island's most notorious no-tell motels, yielded no response as managers refused to comment on the situation.
