The students formed the group, "Teens Take Action," which will host the event at the Middle School.

"Our students have truly taken the lead in organizing all facets of this event and have coordinated this effort with another Middle Years Programme school, Cedar Park Middle School in Beaverton, Oregon," Anthony Davidson, Principal of Commack Middle School said.

Davidson added that about 50 students from Long Beach Middle School will also be in attendance to work alongside the Commack students on April 13.

The group is also organizing a car wash the same day, weather permitting.
