District Names Indian Hollow Principal

Brian Simpson announced as new Indian Hollow Principal for the 2010-2011 school year at Tuesday night's meeting.

The Commack Union Free School District board on Tuesday night unanimously appointed Brian Simpson principal of Indian Hollow Primary School. The board also notified parents that another meeting will be held to name a new principal of Commack High School.

Board president Mary Jo Masciello said she wished Simpson luck in the coming school year. Primary school principals were present for this announcement as well as Parent-Teacher Association representatives. Simpson previously served as the assistant principal in the Accompsett elementary school in Smithtown.

Teresa Burke asked the board when a principal would be appointed for the high school. Dr. Donald James, Superintendent, said the board is still determining this, but should know within the next week. Masciello said parents will be notified of the special meeting to announce the appointment via e-mail or through the district's website.
