Last Chance: Register to Vote on Commack's School Budget

This Wednesday is the last day Commack residents can double check to make sure they are among the school district's registered voters.

A little less than a week from today, Commack residents will have the right to cast their vote on the school district's proposed $171 million budget for the 2012-13 school year. That is , of course, provided they are on the registered voter list. 

This Wednesday, Commack residents have the last chance to double check and make sure they are part of the registered voter list before May 15. Commack School District is holding voter registration from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at both and . 

Anyone who is new to living in the Commack School District, or who hasn't voted in either school district or general election covered by Suffolk County Board of Elections within the past four years, must register in order to vote on May 15.

Absentee ballots for those who will be out of Commack School District on May 15 are available at Hubbs Administrative Center, Clay Pitts Road, East Northport. To apply for an absentee ballot in person, visit Hubbs between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. by May 14.

To apply for an absentee ballot via mail, residents must send a letter to: District Clerk, P.O. Box 150, Commack, New York 11525 by May 9.
