Last Chance: St. Baldrick's Head Shaving

The cancer research fundraiser will be held today at 3 p.m. at Commack High School.

To raise funds for childhood cancer research, the Commack community will come together today from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. in the high school's main gym to stand in solidarity with kids diagnosed with cancer each year.

The unique fundraiser plays on its name with the theme of going bald for the St. Baldrick's Foundation.

In 2012, the Commack community raised $80,000 for the organization, which added to St. Baldrick's total of $30 million. This year's record-setting fundraising efforts will allow the foundation to mark a milestone—$100 million in childhood cancer research grants since 2005.
