Tips, reference guide and suggestions for the College Board test.

SAT Word of the Day: 

Candid- (adjective)-open and sincere; outspoken

In context:  When I need advice about a problem I am having, I can always count on my older sister to offer some candid advice.

SAT Tip of the Day:

Familiarize yourself with the test.  Flip through a sample exam and take note of the test structure and types of questions.  Once you understand the nature of the exam and what you are going to be tested on, you can formulate a practical approach for studying.  Familiarity with the exam will also alleviate unnecessary anxiety on test day.

This practical guide to the SAT is written by the test makers.  It includes an overview of the exam, strategies for each section, and 10 practice tests.

Did You Know?  The SAT is offered in October, November, December, January, March, May, and June.  Most students take the exam in the spring of junior year and then a second time in the fall of senior year.
