Snow Causes Early Dismissal in Commack

Due to the area's snow storm, after school activities are also canceled.

Commack students will be sent home early today due to weather conditions, the school district announced Tuesday morning.

Grades six through 12 will be dismissed one hour early and students in kindergarten through fifth grade will be released half an hour early.

After school activities are also canceled, however, SCOPE will remain open.

Tuesday's snowfall is expected to drop between three to five inches across Long Island through 5 p.m. Roadways have already become slick due to the snow and ice – it is advised to drive slowly for your safety.
