March is around the corner, which means it's almost time for Commack High School's fourth annual St. Baldrick's head shaving event.
On March 15 from 3 - 7 p.m. members of the Commack community will come together to raise money to find a cure for childhood cancers. The unique fundraiser plays on its name with the theme of going bald for the St. Baldrick's Foundation.
In 2012, the Commack community raised $80,000 for the organization, which added to St. Baldrick's total of $30 million. This year's record-setting fundraising efforts will allow the foundation to mark a milestone—$100 million in childhood cancer research grants since 2005.
