Commack Students Nab Top Spots in Local Art Exhibit

High School artists took first, second and third place and won scholarship money.

Three Commack High School art students took first, second, and third place in the South Bay Art Association’s Annual Nita Elder juried Scholarship Senior Art Exhibit awards in November.

Each student chose three pieces of art from their portfolios that represented their personal style of work to enter in the contest.

"These students have proven time and time again that hard work and persistence pays off," said Commack High School art teacher Frank Musto. These awards show, once again, that art is a vital part of every student's education. I could not be more proud of these students and the art department here at the high school."
