Tell Us: Vacations on Winter Break?

Thanks to problems related to Hurricane Sandy and the recent blizzard, school districts have cut into vacation time.

Students in Commack will be in school all week. Neighboring districts have Monday off including South Huntington and Hauppauge.

Some parents are objecting and talking about taking their children out of class so they can go on long-planned vacations.

What are you doing? Are you sticking with the school calendar? And do you think classes will be affected if many kids are absent?
