Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza Raises $2,400 for Breast Cancer Awareness

The restaurant raised the money by donating 10 percent of its sales each Tuesday.

Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza in Commack donated $2,400 to Play for P.I.N.K. in support of breast cancer awareness month in October.

The restaurant donated 10 percent of its sales every Tuesday last month to benefit the national nonprofit, whose acronym stands for prevention, immediate diagnosis, new technology and knowledge. P.I.N.K. raises money for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation through community clubs and sporting events.

The chain's New York, New Jersey and Connecticut restaurants participated in the fundraiser, which accumulated $19,475 in total.
