Commack South Takes Spot in Mid-Atlantic Championship

The team shut-out Maryland to take a spot in the championship. They are now 3-1 in the series.

Commack South shut-out the Maryland representative, Clear Springs, in Wednesday's game with a score of 5-0. This leaves Commack with a 3-1 standing in the series and a spot in the Mid-Atlantic series, as Mid-Atlantic 1. They have Thursday off and face the second Mid-Atlantic champion on Friday.

Commack's Trevor Rosenlicht also won the player of the day on Thursday, an honor given by Cranstonbound.com, a website run by the Cranston Herald, their weekly paper.

Rosenlicht, as pitcher for 5.1 innings, held the score and only allowed 1 hit to get past him. He threw 75 pitches, surrendered no runs, walked two players and struck out three. At the plate, he had 3 singles, which added to Commack's shut out of Maryland.
