Event Spotlight: Cougars Football Takes On William Floyd in Playoffs

Commack varsity football heads into the Suffolk Division I playoffs for the first time in years.

 

Lift your spirits after Hurricane Sandy by cheering on the Commack varsity football team during their first playoff game this Saturday. 

Cougars football team will travel to William Floyd to play in the qualifying round of the Suffolk County Division I playoffs at 1 p.m. Saturday. Directions to Ward Melville's fields can be found on Section XI's website.

The Cougars ended Division I league play with a 6-2 record, earning them the no. 5 seed in Suffolk's Division I playoffs. This will be the first time Commack has qualified for Suffolk's Division I playoffs in 12  years, according to William Monroy of the Commack Football Grid Iron Club.
