Former Commack Softball Star Honored in C.W. Post's Postseason
Nicole Hagenah named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association East Region First Team selection.
Commack native Nicole Hagenah, a Commack High School softball standout, has been chosen as a National Fastpitch Coaches Association East Region First Team selection.
Hagenah, a freshman at C.W. Post, played four years on 's varsity softball team, and also lettered in volleyball and basketball for the Cougars.
In her first season as a Post Pioneer, Hagenah has maintained a .465 batting average, including 13 home runs and 11 doubles. She was also voted Rookie of the Year.

During her high school career, Hagenah was named Commack Offensive Player of the Year in 2010, First Team All-Long Island in 2009 and 2010, Third Team All-State in 2010, an NFCA Regional All-American and 2010 Suffolk County Player of the Year.
The C.W. Post Pioneers advanced to the NCAA East Super Regional this past weekend, and will next face Merrimack college in a three-game series in which the winner will advance to the World series in Salem, Va.
