Former Commack Student Wins Wheelchair Basketball Title

Wheelchair basketball star keeps on winning.

St. Anthony’s senior Chris Bacon Jr., who attended Commack High School before tranferring to St. Anthony's, helped bring a National Wheelchair Basketball Association Junior Eastern Conference championship home to Long Island.

Bacon, whose father is president of the Greater Long Island Wheelchair Athletic Club, is a member of the Long Island Lightning, which topped the Bennett Blazers, 40-38, Saturday to capture the conference title.  

Bacon, of Dix Hills, recently committed to play adaptive basketball at the University of Alabama.
