College Workshops_At the Library

Are you or someone you know going to College in the next few years? At the Library there will be two programs that will help you prepare for this academic milestone. See information below!

1) Personal College Seminar (At the Commack Branch) 

Tuesday, September 24 • 7:00-8:00pm

Parents and high school students are invited to join the Personal College Consultants for a college planning process workshop. The consultants will discuss dealing with Early Decision and Early Action, preparing resumes for college application, and avoiding oversights on the Common Application.

2) Top 5 Mistakes Students Make on College Application Essays (At Smithtown Main) 

Monday, September 30 • 7:00-8:00 pm (Grade 9-Adult)

College Application Essays are more important then ever before. Essay expert Randy Levin will offer parents and students a clear understanding of the essay process and demonstrate how to set yourself apart from other candidates.
