TFCU & GrooveCars' Car of the Week: The 2011 Nissan Rogue

For the month of September, TFCU and Groove Car are offering exclusive deals to make attaining your dream car even easier! And here is an even better deal- if you buy the Nissan Rogue featured as the #CaroftheWeek, you’ll get a $100 Gas Card!

The Nissan Rogue is Nissan’s third-best seller for the Company.  Classified as a “compact-crossover SUV” (AKA a hatchback with a high driving position), the Rogue made its debut in 2007. It once came with a "Krom" edition with fog lamps and a sport exhaust (Nissan has since offered these features in the "Special Edition" trimline.)

Powered not by one of Nissan’s famous V6’s, but rather a raging 170 horsepower 2.5 liter engine with a performance oriented CVT transmission (no shifts to be felt when applying makeup, shaving or texting behind the wheel!), the Rogue thunders from 0-60 in about 8.1 seconds.

The Rogue also comes standard with front-wheel drive, with all-wheel-drive as an available option, so when you’re entering shopping centers and dropping the kids off at the ballgame, you’ll be ready for any environmental hazards mother-nature decides to throw your way.

In 2010, the car was called Consumers Digest’s Automotive Best Buy Award, and is pretty safe too- winning the highest Side-Impact crash rating from the U.S. NHTSA, so there is always that.
