CONNECTING GENERATIONS & PRESERVING MEMORIES

The “We Are Commack Proud Living Legacy Project” is a compilation of stories of our Commack community (and school district vicinity), as told by past and current residents, alumni of the school district, business owners, merchants, local employees, everyone, anyone.  We’re connecting generations and preserving memories.

It’s an ongoing project limited only by the number of stories you’d like to contribute, all posted on a separate historical site for all things Commack past and present, an account of our everyday lives in the 20th and 21st centuries. (You are welcomed to integrate your stories with much older history of Commack if you'd like.)

The formal site will have tabs for years, topics, keyword searches. Check back often for story prompts and memory triggers, although any story is welcomed. We'd love to have you join us.  Email your stories (written and audio) and pictures, lots of pictures, to WeAreCommackProud@ALifetimeLegacy.com.  Stories can be any length, but a good guide would be +/- 500 words.  A perfect audio length is +/- 3 minutes.  (Rated G, please.  We want everyone to enjoy our history.)
