The Week Ahead: Blood Drive; Merengue Class

Happy Monday, Commack. Here's a quick look at what's happening in town this week:

Community Blood Drive
A blood drive will be held Nov. 19 from 1-7 p.m. at Burr Intermediate School (202 Burr Rd, Commack). All donors will be entered into a sweepstakes for one pair of tickets to Super Bowl XLVIII. To schedule an appointment, contact Brenda Lentsch at blentsch@commackschools.org.

Holiday Sale for Special Education Programs
 Do you like to shop? The Commack Special Education Parent Teacher Association will hold a holiday boutique and auction, featuring clothing, accessories, home goods, jewelry, and more Nov. 19 from 6-9 p.m. in the High School cafetaria. Raffles will take place every half hour and there will also be refreshments activities for children. Proceeds will benefit the special education programs within the Commack School District. Merengue Classes for Singles
Learn to Merengue Monday nights at the Suffolk Y JCC in Commack. Classes are for the beginner, progressing to intermediate level, in six sessions, from Nov. 18 through Dec. 23 at 7:15 p.m. Cost is $54 for the series. To Pre-Register call Norma Granofsky at 631-462-9800 Ext. 206.
