Avon Walk For Breast Cancer Fundraiser
Join The Story Avenue Band as they help NYBlue for Pinkfight breast cancer in a fundraiser for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer on May 10 at 7 p.m. at Napper Tandy's in Northport (229 Laurel Ave., Northport) Enjoy great music, an appetizer bar with beer wine and soda, and great raffles.

Movie Night: Lincoln
Daniel Day-Lewis, stars in this inspiring drama that focuses on Lincoln's four months in office as he pursues a course of action to end the Civil War, unite a nation and aboloish slavery, with Sally Field and Hal Holbrook.
Join the Commack United Methodist Church for a free movie and refreshments May 10 at 7:30 p.m.

Crafts and Mother's Day Brunch
Give mom a piece of your heat at Paint-A-Piece in Commack on May 12. The craft shop will have two seatings at noon and 3 p.m. Mothers and their families will enjoy brunch, bagels , muffins , quiche, coffee , juice and more. All guest must do a project of $14 or more and coupons will not be accepted that day. A $5 deposit and reservations are required. Call 631-486-6969 to reserve a spot.

School Budget Hearing
The last school budget hearing before the vote will take place May 9 at Burr Intermediate School at 8 p.m. The Board of Education will also hold a public meeting at that time. The 2013-14 school budget was adopted by the Board of Education on April 18. No further changes can be made.
